This is a very fair question because, oftentimes, we Villagers don't have any real experience with "floating-tile flooring systems". And, that being the case, it's easy to default back to what we know and have experience with (that being, epoxying or painting our garage floor).First off, it's important to note that the term "floating-tile flooring" does NOT mean that the floor just "floats". It's surprisingly stable even when the floor is just being installed. However, that's not enough... We use anchors to permanently attach your new flooring system to your existing floor - whether in your garage or your lanai. So you can rest assured that your floor will remain completely stable and secure at all times and in all conditions.But back the original question, "Why Elite Tile Garages"?Well, because first and foremost, we're Villagers just like you. When your garage or lanai floors are epoxied or painted and they get a crack or a chip in them, to actually repair the concrete is next to impossible. Most people won't tell you this important fact: with the extreme temperatures your concrete experiences here in Central Florida (from well below freezing to, well in excess of 100 degrees annually), your concrete expands and contracts substantially - which, over time, weakens the slab, which, eventually, causes cracks to begin to develop. Yes, there are crack fillers - and different "fixes" you can try - but painting or epoxying over those cracks won't hide them for long. It might last a few years, but it's not fixing the problem and your epoxied or painted floors will need to be redone every few years just to keep up with the patching you'll need to be doing.With our system, any tile that cracks, chips, breaks or doesn't perform as it should due to a defect or under normal use (aside from contact with acid or mistreatment with tools), will be replaced at our cost. Ideally, you'll want your entire floor covered with our tiles. It's makes your resale value higher (because a hole in the tile where your refrigerator sat is unsightly for a new buyer who doesn't own a "garage refrigerator"). So, all you'll need to do prior to installation day is: move everything you possibly can off the floor where you'd like tile installed.However, what if there's something that you simply cannot move - either by yourself or with help? What happens then?Our installer will consult with you on these situations. Either, we can move the item(s) for you at a nominal fee (depending upon what the item(s) is/are and how difficult it is to move it/them). Or, in the case the item is attached to the floor (like a support post or something similar), we will simply tile around it and deduct that square footage from your total.Whatever the case happens to be, we will work with you to make it work FOR you. Absolutely not!!We believe in a full-transparency relationship with our clients - and we will always give you a guaranteed quote which you'll need to sign off on - prior to any work being performed.The only thing that will change that quote will be changes that you, the homeowner, make to the contract. For example, if you said you wanted a silver floor with a blue border - and we begin your floor and you change your mind and suddenly want a green border instead of a blue one, that's a material change to the contract and, while we can make such a change, we would need to discuss the additional costs of a last minute change of mind.The minimum "Change Fee", once work has begun, is $500.
